At the northern edge of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area, the City of East Bethel is 48 square miles of lakes, wetlands, farms, and prairies. The City is traversed by Minnesota Highway 65, a four-lane expressway. Viking Boulevard is the City's main east-west road.

The City also is home to the Sand Hill Crane Natural Area, Cedar Creek Natural History Area and Coon Lake, the largest lake in Anoka County.

Public Works

Road Restrictions will be in effect on Friday, March 14th at 12:01 a.m.  The restrictions will be lifted on Friday, May 9, 2008 at 12:01 a.m. 

Request for Proposals - Class 5
The City of East Bethel is requesting proposals for approximately 3,000 tons of Class 5 material plus delivery for its 2008 surfacing projects. This request is for material, delivery and belly dump /end dump spreading only. The city maintenance department will do the final spreading, shaping and compacting of the Class 5 as it is delivered to the roadways.

Bid sheets and specs can be obtained at the East Bethel City Hall.

Sealed bids will be opened at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the East Bethel City Hall. The city reserves the right to reject all bids or to award the contract in the best interest of the city.
